In 2018 the odious and corrupt former MIA President Kevin Lane branded VISA as Pirates!
Why was the little old corrupt toad so angry about VISA – why did he and the clowns of the MIA board (the Sydney based migration agents lobby group) get turned against us.
Well at the time the odious Lane was pushing hard to keep Immigration Lawyers shackled to the yoke of dual regulation and under the thumb of OMARA – Lane saw this as a way to keep the power money with the MIA , because without dual regulation the MIA would loses all the lawyer members – Whereas VISA lusted for freedom!
It must be remember how hard the MIA board fought to keep control of Immigration Lawyers – it was the MIA official policy – and it was driven by their bottom line.
Whereas VISA members had a thirst to be free of this superfluous second layer of bureaucracy – so we fought.
Shortly after VISA was formed we won and Immigration Lawyers where no longer subjected to the tyranny of dual regulation. Huzzah!
So what the repugnant Lane saw as a brand, we at VISA have embraced it as a badge of honour!
It is like my youngest son said the other day: Dad you’re like Hans Solo and VISA is the rebel alliance fighting the evil MIA death star with Vader and Emperor Palpatine (Darth Sidious) , and despite the MIA’s power their hatred will destroy them. (He is a big star wars fan)
With that said VISA will continue to use the FORCE and be pirates too!
