Access: You may request details of personal information that we hold about you, in certain circumstances set out in the Privacy Act 1988.

Correction: If you believe that any information we hold on you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, please contact us by email. We rely in part upon customers advising us when their personal information changes.  We will respond to any request within a reasonable time.  We will endeavor to promptly correct any information found to be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

Deletion: You may request that details of your personal information that we hold about you are deleted from our system, in certain circumstances set out in the Privacy Act 1988.

Corporate Partners and promotions

Your relationship with third parties.  VISA. Victorian Immigration Solicitors’ Alliance Pty Ltd is not privy too nor a party to any arrangement you may enter into with third parties.

All agreements, contracts or arrangement enter into between “you” and a VISA Corporate Partner is contained in that said contract.  VISA is not nor will consent to being joined as a member to any such contract.  VISA  is a stranger to any such agreements.

We urge you to seek independent advice before entering in to any such agreements with a Corporate Partner mention of this webpage.

Types of VISA Membership

The VISA is an offers a range of different membership options depending on your circumstances – including:

1) Member – this membership type is reserved for Australia Legal Practitioners of at least 5 years standing with significant experience or knowledge in Australian Immigration or related law.

2) Senior Member – this membership type is reserved for Australia Legal Practitioners of at least 15 years standing with significant experience or knowledge in Australian Immigration or related law. (This class receive special benefits including priority seating at the “VISA Immigration Conference” and discount ticket prices for the “VISA Immigration Conference”.

3) Associate Member – this membership type is open to any “professional person” who has practiced in their chosen field for at least 5 years and has a real and genuine interest in Australia Migration or Refugee Law. (NB. “Professional person” is at the complete discretion of the VISA. Victorian Immigration Solicitors’ Alliance Board and its decision will be final.)

4) Fellow of VISA.   This is a discretionary award: to qualify the applicant must be a Senior Member of VISA and have practiced almost exclusively in the field of Australian Immigration Law for at least 20 years. This award is at the discretion of the VISA: Victorian Immigration Solicitors’ Alliance Board and its decision will be final.)

How Do I Become a Member of VISA?

Review our “types of Memberships” to determine which level of membership is right for you.

All VISA members must meet strict requirements, complete the application and pay the fee, probity checks are then carried out and applications are then referred for consideration. Final membership approval confirmed with the granting of a “Certificate of Membership”.

Membership entitles the member to access to the “Members only” section of the VISA: Victorian Immigration Solicitors’ Alliance Pty Ltd webpage.

Membership is NOT transferable.

Membership is based on a year subscription and Validity of Membership will be evidenced by a correctly issues “Certificate of Membership”.

One off joining fee of $100 plus gst  =   $110

Annual Membership fee.    Current Fee $300 plus gst  =   $330

Complaints about breach
